Kim from San Diego is a 52-year-old woman who was in a relationship with Nigerian man Usman Umar in Before the 90 Days season 5. Kim was Usman’s biggest fan and yearned to be his girlfriend. The duo got engaged but split on HEA season 7 right before Usman could move to the U.S. on a K-1 visa. Kim and her son Jamal Menzies have since been regulars on Pillow Talk.

Kim Menzies is recovering after having major surgery. She’s currently in hospital and her son, Jamal Menzies, is taking good care of his star mom.

Kim thanked her supporters for their positive thoughts and prayers. “It means so much to me!” she added. She thanked her “amazing son @jdmzie” for being there and for providing her with comic relief. She told her son she loved him “so much.” The blogger also shared a selfie Jamal had clicked to show his mom on her hospital bed after surgery.

Kim looked tired in the photo but she was trying her best to stay strong and smile for the camera. Kim posted a different IG update to share her thanks to fans for sending DMs to check up on her. She said that she was “okay” and just needed to rest for another day or two.

Kim revealed she had some “uterine issues” and that she got some polyps and fibroids removed. She assured her followers that she was going to be back to normal soon. She conveyed her gratitude to them for their positive messages. Kim recently spoke about her struggles with losing weight. She said she was overweight by 40 pounds and was having a hard time losing it. Kim had spoken about being on a “somewhat medical journey” and that her doctor had told her she was the “perfect candidate” for it. Kim has lost 20 pounds already, but her weight has stayed the same since then.

On the plus side, there have been happier updates in Kim’s life as well. Kim has been working as the new Hotel and Retail Supervisor at the Sycuan Casino Resort in El Cajon. Kim’s career change was also praised by her ex, Usman. Kim has moved on from Usman and expressed an interest in dating someone new back in February 2024. Kim had not told fans anything about her new romance yet and could be keeping her boyfriend under wraps for a new spin-off.
