A New Chapter Begins
During his appearance on the show, Matteo opened up about the journey behind his debut solo album, which was set to release on September 22. The album had been a personal project three years in the making, with Matteo writing over a hundred songs before choosing the final tracklist.
“I used to perform with my dad,” Matteo shared, “but when you do something by yourself, there is greater satisfaction—because you give more of yourself to it.”
Music had always run deep in his veins, but Matteo was clearly carving his own path with passion and purpose. “Music was my first love,” he said. “It was the beginning, and I hoped it would last my whole life.”
Lessons from His Father and a Love for All Genres
Matteo also reflected on the wisdom his father had passed down. “One of the most important lessons from my father was that in life you can’t always do what you love, but sometimes you have to love what you do. That way, you can achieve your life’s purpose.”
For Matteo, that purpose had always been music. Growing up surrounded by classical sounds, he hinted that his future work might lean more in that direction. “It’s another aspect of my musical work. I wanted it to accompany me,” he explained, adding that he had already blended classical elements into his live shows.
His performance of “For You” was just one moment, but it spoke volumes—about his talent, his heritage, and the bright solo path he had begun.
